    The WOWps play-offs were a big hit, drawing a raucous crowd, spellbinding performances by both the competitors, and the night’s feature, Shannon Leigh.

    The results were:

    1. Radar 76.1
    2. Julie Parell 74.7
    3.Sasha Langford 74.6
    4. Nora Smithhisler 70.9*
    5. Mary Alice 70.9*
    6. Jill Binder 70.0
    7. Lisa Slater 69.3
    8. Shannon Rayne 68.0

    *(Nora wins via sudden death match haiku, 24.8 to 19.4)

    Radar will represent Vancouver, and most likely all of Canada, at the Women of the World poetry slam coming up this spring in Detroit. Good luck, Radar!

The Slam Playoff to choose Vancouver’s representative for the Women of the World Poetry Slam, held in Detroit, Michigan on March 12-15, 2008.
