The Vancouver Poetry Slam
Canada’s Longest Running Poetry Slam Continues!

@ Cafe deux Soleils: 2096 Commercial Drive (Commercial & 4th Ave.)

The 1st, 3rd, and 5th Monday of every month

The Slam on Monday, October 1st
features the winner of the 3-day novel writing contest, & member of The Fugitives,
Vancouver’s Brendan McLeod

There is also an Open Slam with Cash and Prizes
Doors and Sign Up at 8pm
Open Mix at 8:45
Slam Starts at 9pm
Still only $5 at the door

All poets, all ages, & all styles are welcome in the spirit of fair play and good times!

Last night’s second round finishers were:

1. Clint “Father Goose” Wilson (55.0)
2. The Svelte Ms. Spelte (54.4)
3. Strong Cottonwoods, from Victoria (54.0)
4. Radar, from Victoria (53.1)
5. Colin J. Stewart (52.6)

Personally, I wasn’t there, but I’m betting Brendan McLeod both WAS awesome, and SAID awesome frequently, which is awesome. If you attending the night, and saw Brendan McLeod feature, write a comment and let everyone know if this is true or not.
