The Brittannia Community Centre is going to be holding a weekly event called Artful Sundays. It starts July 27th and runs until August 31st.
On August 31st there is going to be a spoken word event called "Speaking Words of Wisdom." They are in the process of getting together 12 poets to perform for a maximum of 5 minutes each. Hopefully on topic but not necessary. The only other pre-requisite is that the poem-performance be family friendly as it will be in a public out of doors space.
No pay involved but you would get a "Speaking Words of Wisdom" t-shirt. Get in touch with Katherine Polgrain [mailto:courage@vcn.bc.ca] if you are at all interested. At last report 5 spaces were already booked so move quickly if you want in.
