Other CFSW teams
« on: June 10, 2009, 11:44:54 AM »
I'm reposting an item from Greg Frankson:

Quote
Hey everybody,

The slam is now over for this season and the team from Ottawa this year will consist of:

Rusty Priske (alternate)
Brandon Wint
Poetic Speed
Open Secret
and the 2009 Capital Slam Champion, Ian Keteku (aka Emcee E)

You guys didn't believe last year when I posted on here and said you need to look out for the Ottawa team. But this year, with three members returning and a fourth member from last year's Calgary team, you know what to expect -- heat, awesomeness, and one of the favourites to take it all. And you haven't even seen Brandon yet ...

Can't wait for the fun to start in November! Good luck to everyone!

Ottawa was the surprise team last year, and they're certainly one of this year's favourites to take it all.

Ahhhhh and the smack talk begins.
I was wondering what I was going to for my fix of it when the Stanley Cup and The NBA came to a close. ;)

No smack talk from the team itself. We are much too humble.   :)

Even though this will be my second year as merely the head cheerleader, I certainly look forward to the Festival!

Nothing "merely" about being "head cheerleader".
Exhibit A-Kevin Garnett.
I could explain that in detail but Chris will chastise me for straying from poetry as the topic-and because the C's not ebing int he final to beat the Lakers is still a sore point for us both. ;)
suffice to say-a team is a team. And if it comes correct with a total team effort-even from those on the bench-they are tough to beat.
all the best to your crew.

Lanark County has named their team as well.

Tammy Mackenzie
Emily Kwissa
Ken Kicksee
Monica King
Danielle Gregoire (alternate)

People at the Calgary festival should remember Emily and people from the Halifax festival (and prior) should remember Danielle (when she was with Ottawa).
