Workers of the World join together on September 5th, this Labour Day, at the Vancouver Poetry Slam's annual Solidarity Slam!
Bring poems about labour, solidarity, work, your job(s), trying to find a job etc.
Work attire is encouraged.
Doors and poet sign-up at 7pm.
Show starts at 8pm.
$6-10 sliding scale.
Our feature poet will be Bryant Ross, a noted storyteller, fireman and one of the past winners of this event.
Bryant Ross has been telling stories in various venues around Vancouver, including Thundering Word, the Vancouver Story Slam, The In the House Festival, Under the Volcano, and the Car Free day. Bryant is a veteran of the Langley Fire Department where he lives with his wife, 3 kids and 2 hound dogs.
