On January 17, 2011 the Vancouver Poetry Slam continues our regular season this time featuring Lauren Zuniga.Lauren Zuniga has lived in 60 houses which explains her fear of commitment and tendency to fall in lust with kitchens. Zuniga is a nationally touring poet and teaching artist. She has represented her home state of Oklahoma in seven national poetry competitions and has finished in the top twenty at the Women of the World P...oetry Slam the last three years.The founder of Oklahoma Young Writers, a nonprofit organization committed to expanding literary and performance opportunities for youth, she conducts workshops and performances in prisons, schools, churches and bars because she believes that poetry is one of the most transformative tools we have.
