To paraphrase Skid Row...these are the youth gone wild. Poetic madness and magic is ready to roll out once again. Plus this will be the last chance for any poets 13-22 years of age to qualify for the Youth Slam Playoffs in April.
March 22nd is the 4th Monday of the month and it will be time for the next Vancouver Youth Poetry Slam featuring Toronto's Kevin Fortnum
"Kevin Fortum has been writing for the last forty years. He has published one poetry chapbook, one collection of short fiction and one novella, all to massive critical acclaim. He performs at poetry festivals and reading series in and around Ontario, and his most recent project is a poetry/music hybrid entitled 'Sea Docks Doxies.' "
This event is open to all those who are 13-22 years of age. We have a poetry open mic followed by the Poetry Slam competition.
Performers have a chance to win cash and prizes. $35 for 1st, $25 for 2nd and $15 for third.
Sign starts at 7 o'clock and the show gets going around 8pm.
